Four Type of Methods to upload a bank statement

Oracle Supports 4 types of method to upload bank statements:

Method 1:

Proces Name => “Load and Import Bank Statement”

Data File Need to be uploaded into UCM Folder => Click File Import and Export link under Tools for Account – “Fin/cashManagement/import”. Which will become available in above Data File LOV list.

You can also submit this program from task panel directly:

Method 2: 

Process Name=> Load Interface File for Import   

You can directly upload bank statement here from desktop folder bypassing the UCM repository or you can also select file from UCM.

Open Data File LOV and then click “Upload a new file” -> Browse and upload zip or text format MT940 bank statement.

Method 3:  

Process Name=> Process Electronic Bank Statements

This method is used to auto process the bank statements by Scheduling it where it can pick the files from middleware or bank server using payment system and can decrypt the file and then load into the interface and process the records into cash management.

This electronic bank statement process consists of the following three phases:

1.       Retrieve phase: Retrieves the electronic bank statement file or stream from external sources and stores it in the database. The external sources can be a file stored on a remote computer or a file stored on the local computer.

2.       Load phase: Processes the retrieved electronic bank statement and populates the bank statement interface tables, also known as the staging area.

3.       Import phase: Processes the loaded bank statement data from the staging area against functional validations before populating the data into the bank statements tables. The parsing rules are executed during this phase.

If the process fails with import errors, correct the reported errors. Rerun just the import phase from the Processing Warnings and Errors table of the Bank Statements and Reconciliation Overview page. However, if there are any errors during the load phase, purge the error data and resubmit the program.

If Autoreconciliaton checkbox is ticked then Bank transactions get automatically reconciled in fusion cash management. User is able to manually reconcile the left over transactions.

Common Error:

Bank File Contain Spaces:

The following data file name(s) in the zip file are containing spaces: Barclays bank stmt.txt. This is not supported currently. Remove the spaces from the file name(s) and try again.

Method 4:

Using Spreadsheet => Click task “Create Bank Statements in Spreadsheet” and download the “CashManagementBankStatementImportTemplate.xlsm” FBDI template.

Open the saved "CashManagementBankStatementImportTemplate.xlsm" and fill it with bank statement details and generate the ZIP file.

Navigator > Tools > File Import and Export > click on plus sign > select "fin/cashManagement/import" for the Account > browse for the generated ZIP file > Upload the ZIP file generated from last step.

Navigator > Scheduled Processes > Click on “Schedule New Process” > Run the the job “Load Interface File for Import” > For the Import Process, select "Import Bank Statements in Spreadsheet" and for Data File, select the name of the ZIP file that was transferred to the UCM repository.

Verify the bank statements uploaded: Select Cash Management > Bank Statement and Reconciliation icon >  Manage Bank Statements > Query the bank account for which statement was uploaded.

Click on the Bank Account and Statement ID and verify the uploaded statement lines.
